Emerging Ghanaian musician Emmanuel Oppong, known professionally as Mophty, is gaining significant attention in the music scene and is vying for the esteemed title of ‘Unsung Artiste of the Year’ at the upcoming Ghana Music Awards (GMA).
Mophty showed confidence in his musical journey and the effect he has created over the past year in an exclusive interview with Amansan Krakye on Cape Coast’s Property FM radio station. He stressed the significance of his collaborations on songs such as Mr. Drew’s ‘Case Remix’ and Flowking Stone’s ‘Tomorrow,’ describing them as watershed points in his career. These collaborations not only highlight his talent, but also helped him get recognition in the Ghanaian music industry.
Mophty expressed his desire for Mr. Drew’s ‘Case Remix’ to win ‘Collaboration of the Year’ at the Ghana Music Awards (GMA), underlining his love for music and acknowledgment for his contributions to the industry.
Mophty expressed his goal to win the 2024 GMA ‘Unsung Artiste of the Year’ award, remaining confident about his possibilities despite the competition. He underlined the need of staying positive and leaving the outcome to God, but also expressing optimism for success.
“We always have to be positive-minded to get the ultimate so I’ll be happy to win but others are also aiming for it so let’s leave it to God. But I’m just hoping that at this year’s GMA we will win the collaboration of the year with Case remix and I pray that it comes to pass.” He added.
