Ghanaian musician Captain Planet, a member of the popular Ghanaian rock group 4X4, recently took to social media to send a message to his fellow Ghanaians. In his post, he minces words about Ghana’s current condition, focusing on concerns of government and public well-being. He stated that individuals who are fortunate enough to leave the nation should not return. This is due to hardships in the country.
He voiced deep dissatisfaction with the situation, blaming political leaders for appearing to prioritize their own interests over those of the people they are supposed to represent. Captain Planet emphasized the stark contrast between the fortunate few and the vast mass of Ghanaians who struggle to put food on the table at the end of the day.
One of the main issues he made was the ineffectiveness of government efforts like the Ghana card, which have failed to significantly improve the lives of ordinary individuals. He highlighted the severe economic realities that many Ghanaians experience, contrasting them with the extravagant lifestyles of politicians and their families, many of whom live abroad.
While some have commended Captain Planet for his honest appraisal of the socioeconomic environment, others have accused him of being ungratefu to Ghana.
If you’re fortunate enough to leave this country please don’t come back. These leaders are only acquiring properties for their families & they don’t give a shit about you. Don’t die for this country in the name of being patriotic. Your future is not secured here . BE WISE

Nonetheless, his message serves as a wake-up call to all Ghanaians to consider the current status of the country and urge for good change.
