Dflex now Dangata, born Abubakar Alhassan on February 28, 1983, in Accra, Ghana, is a Ghanaian-Canada based Highlife, Afrobeat, songwriter, and actor. Raised in Adabraka, Accra, he developed a passion for music at a young age, drawing inspiration from renowned local and international musicians.
Early Career
At 14, Dangata’s love for music led him to frequently attend entertainment events, showcasing his talent and performing live. His breakthrough came with a feature on K.K Fosu’s hit single “Number One,” gaining popularity in Ghana and beyond. Subsequent collaborations with Ofori Amponsah on “Nothing But Love” solidified his reputation as a rising star.
Artistic Evolution
Dangata has since performed extensively locally and internationally, releasing numerous songs, including “Adam n Hawa,” “Nasaake,” “Alima,” “Dance,” “Halara,” “Basaa,” “Kioma,” “Mother,” “Alhamdulilah,” and more. He has collaborated with prominent artists like Stonebwoy, VIP, Kwabena Kwabena, Stay J, and Castro. Notable releases include “Nyame Yaba” and “Paradised” featuring K.K Fosu and Praye.

Dangata is currently promoting his latest 2024 release titled “Raina” which is available on all digital platforms.
