Ghanaian gospel artists Celestine Donkor and Diana Hamilton have collaborated to release a heartfelt thanksgiving song titled “Akorfala (Comforter).” Unveiled on April 1, 2025, the song’s title, “Akorfala,” is derived from the Ewe language, meaning “comforter.”
Produced by Joseph Amoah at Springboard Studio, “Akorfala” serves as an expression of gratitude, acknowledging God’s blessings in the past, present, and future. The collaboration between Celestine Donkor and Diana Hamilton underscores a commitment to unity among female gospel musicians in Ghana. Prior to this, Celestine had worked on projects with artists like Obaapa Christy and Piesie Esther, further promoting solidarity within the gospel music community.
Diana Hamilton, renowned for her hit song “Adom,” has been actively engaging with her audience through various initiatives. In February and March 2025, she hosted the “Awake Experience 2025” concert series across multiple cities, including Accra, Kumasi, and Sunyani. These events featured performances by notable gospel artists and aimed to inspire and transform lives under the theme “MOVE,” inspired by Deuteronomy 1:6.
The release of “Akorfala” has been accompanied by a music video, which is available on YouTube. Fans can also stream the song on major digital platforms, allowing for widespread accessibility.
This collaboration between Celestine Donkor and Diana Hamilton not only enriches the gospel music landscape but also serves as a testament to the power of unity and shared purpose in delivering messages of hope and faith.
